About the School
Seaton Carew Nursery School was opened in 1973 and is the only ‘Stand Alone Nursery School’ in Hartlepool . The school is situated within a small low-rise housing estate. It is within easy walking distance to shops and local services.
The school building is one storey and semi open plan in its layout. There are three doors leading to the outside, one of which leads to a covered way where learning takes place in the open air, whatever the weather. There is a small grassed area, as well as a paved area.
The school garden is well established and is used daily by the children as part of the learning environment.
The open plan indoor learning environment and the spacious outdoor learning environment are staffed by teachers and Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) Practitioners and nursery nurses who work as a team to plan and deliver an appropriate curriculum to meet the needs of your child.
The nursery provision is for 39 am and pm places. The school is able to offer Breakfast Club and Lunch Time for families to buy into as an extended addition to their Free Nursery Entitlement hours.
